Meeting interpretation mode captures your microphone and the meeting tab's audio together and translates both directions at once. Starting it opens a fullscreen split view: you into their language on the left, them into yours on the right. There are no Zoom or Meet bots to invite and nothing to install. The interpretation isn't only for you either — screen-share the split view and everyone on the call reads the same captions, without an app or a sign-up.

How to use it
Pick Meeting interpretation mode
Choose it in the console. Input uses your microphone and the meeting tab's audio together.
Set my language ⇄ their language
Pick your language (microphone) and theirs (tab audio). Both directions are translated simultaneously.
Put on headphones and press Start
Start requests the microphone permission and opens the tab picker together. Choose the tab running Zoom or Meet and make sure to check Share audio.
Check the fullscreen split view
Your speech flows on the left toward their language; theirs flows on the right in yours. ESC ends the session any time.
Screen-share the split window
To let the other side read along, share just this one window in Zoom or Meet — a single window covers both directions, and they need nothing installed to see it.
Why headphones matter
On speakers, the other side's voice feeds back into your microphone and gets recognized twice, overlapping captions and causing echo. With headphones, the mic hears only you and the tab audio carries only them — the two directions stay cleanly separated.

Register product and project names once and they come out the same way for the whole meeting.
Pause with Space
While you are not speaking, Space pauses both directions at once.
Private session
For sensitive calls, use a private session — nothing is recorded and everything disappears when it ends.
If tab sharing stops
When the meeting tab's share is stopped, the interpretation session stops with it — just start again.
Limits & requirements
- Tab audio capture requires desktop Chrome/Edge. If Share audio is left unchecked in the share dialog, the other side's voice will not come through.
- Using speakers instead of headphones double-recognizes the other side's voice — headphones are strongly recommended.
- Informing meeting participants about transcription and obtaining consent is your responsibility.
