What it is
Meeting interpretation mode splits a fullscreen view left and right and interprets both directions at once. On the left, your microphone speech flows out in their language; on the right, device (meeting tab) audio flows in, translated into yours.
The other side's audio comes in through screen sharing with 'Share audio' — no bots to invite, no extensions to install. One browser is all it takes.
And it isn't an earpiece only you can hear. Screen-share the split view into Zoom or Meet and the other side reads their half live — no app to install, no account to create, no bot joining the call. Everyone in the conversation sees the same interpretation.

Pick the [Meeting interpretation] mode
In the console's launch modes, choose 'Meeting interpretation'.
Choose my language · their language
The [Swap languages] button in the middle switches the two instantly.
Press [Start] → share the meeting tab
The fullscreen split view opens along with the tab share picker. Pick the meeting tab and make sure 'Share audio' is checked at the bottom of the dialog.
Start talking
Translations of your speech flow on the left, translations of theirs on the right — simultaneously. Press ESC to end.
Share the split view with the other side
To let them read along, screen-share this one window in Zoom or Meet. It carries both directions — and the other side needs nothing installed to see it.
Details & tips
Pause and resume both at once
A single [⏸ Pause] stops audio streaming for both sessions together, and [▶ Resume] restarts them together.
Reopen the split view
Closed the split view? Bring it back anytime with the [Reopen split view] button on the live card.
One wall clock, one bill
Even with both directions running, you're billed once for the time captions were on — regardless of directions or languages.
Requirements & limitations
- Tab audio capture is supported in desktop Chrome/Edge.
- If 'Share audio' isn't checked in the share dialog, the other side's audio won't come through — a retry prompt appears if you miss it.
- Informing meeting participants about transcription and obtaining their consent is your responsibility — see the Terms of Service.
- Microphone and screen-share permissions require an HTTPS environment.
