For conferences & meetups

Newey supports the ecosystem by sponsoring events

Bring international attendees into every talk. Newey provides full-session live interpretation for your event — multilingual captions on the venue screen and on every attendee's phone — as a sponsor, at no cost to you.

What we sponsor

Full-session live interpretation

Every talk captioned live, from the opening keynote to the last lightning talk. Speakers present in their language; the room follows in theirs, on the stage screen.

Multilingual simultaneous captions

60 translation languages from a single session. Your audience doesn't need to share one language — each person picks their own.

Attendee QR streaming

Attendees scan a QR code and read live captions on their own phone, in their own language. No app installs, no headsets, no interpreter booth.

How it works

1

Apply with your event

Tell us the dates, expected attendance, and languages. We reply to every application.

2

Fit check & prep

A short call to confirm the setup. All we need is your audio feed — a microphone or your mixer's output — and a browser.

3

We set it up with you

Glossary loaded with your speakers' names and terms, stage screen and QR page rehearsed before doors open.

4

Live on event day

Captions run through every session while we stay on standby remotely.

What we ask for

Sponsor credit

List Newey as your event's interpretation sponsor. The caption screens and attendee QR pages already carry a small "Newey" mark — that's most of it.

A short recap

A few photos and an honest quote after the event, which we may feature as a case study.

Honest feedback

Tell us what worked and what didn't — sponsored events are how we make live interpretation better.

A good fit if

  • Your audience or speakers span more than one language
  • Conferences, meetups, developer and community events — from 30 to 3,000 attendees
  • Any venue works — a stage screen helps, but attendees' phones alone are enough
  • Content we can stand behind as a sponsor

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. Event interpretation is normally billed by the hour (our Event plan lists at $59/hour) — as a sponsor, Newey covers it in full for selected events.

What do we need technically?

An audio feed — a microphone or your mixer's output — and a laptop with a browser for the stage screen. No booths, no headsets, no installs; attendees just scan a QR code.

Which languages are supported?

60 translation languages, live. Each attendee picks their own caption language on their phone, and the stage screen can show the languages your room needs most.

What happens to the audio?

Audio streams directly from the browser to the speech engine — it never touches Newey's servers and is not stored. See our Security page for the architecture.

Do you sponsor every event?

We review every application and sponsor the events we can support well. International audience share, dates, and content alignment are the main criteria — if it's not a fit, we'll say so quickly.

Apply for event sponsorship

Tell us about your event — dates, expected attendance, session languages, and a link. We reply to every application.

Whatever you watch, whoever you talk to

Let the captions handle the language. One account, three seconds to start.
