Referral Programme Terms

These terms govern the Newey AI referral programme: creating a referral link, sharing it, earning commission on subscriptions it brings in, and withdrawing what you have earned.

There is one programme, and these terms cover all of it. Most people join it themselves from their account. Some are invited as creator partners, which is the same programme with a different way in — the same rates, the same window, and the same rules apply either way.

Everything not covered here — your account, acceptable use, your content, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution — is governed by the Terms of Service.

You can join if you have a Newey AI account in good standing and you are old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Creating a referral link means you accept these terms; we record the version you accepted at that moment.

Joining costs nothing, and you are never required to buy anything to take part. You can stop at any time — see Section 11.

One account gets one referral link. Creating additional accounts to get additional links is not allowed (Section 10).

A subscription is attributed to you when someone subscribes while your link is still active in their browser. Your link becomes active when they open it and stays active while they keep browsing in that window. Opening a new window starts fresh, and closing the window ends it.

This is decided at the moment of payment, not at the moment of the click. If someone clicks your link today and subscribes three weeks later in a new window, that subscription is not attributed to you — they would need to open your link again first. We tell you this plainly because it is the single most important thing to understand about how you get paid.

Once a subscription is attributed to you it stays attributed: its renewals and upgrades keep earning for you within the window in Section 4, and the subscriber does not have to use your link again.

• First subscription only. Commission attaches to a person’s first paid subscription. If someone cancels and later subscribes again, that restart does not earn new commission.
• A discount code that reaches someone else — the code applied at your referral’s checkout works once and expires within the hour. If it is used by someone else in that window, we still trace it back to you and record the commission, but it is held for review rather than paid automatically. Codes, unlike links, can be found by people who were already on their way to subscribe, and we cannot tell the two apart from the code alone. We release it unless it looks like the placement described in Section 10.
• Tracking is first-party. We use no third-party advertising scripts and no cross-site cookies for this.

Your rate depends on how many referred subscriptions of yours are currently active and still inside their commission window:

• Up to 19 — 15%
• 20 to 49 — 20%
• 50 or more — 25%

The rate is applied at the moment each payment is recorded, so it moves in both directions as your active count changes. The rate that applied to a payment is recorded with it and does not change afterwards.

Commission is calculated on the amount actually paid, after any discount and excluding sales tax or VAT — that is, on what we actually receive, not on the list price.

It applies to payments of the attributed subscription — the first payment, renewals, and upgrades within it — for up to 12 months from that subscription’s first payment. After 12 months the subscription stops earning, even if it continues.

Someone who subscribes while your link is active gets 10% off monthly plans for their first 12 months. It applies to their first subscription only, and not to yearly plans — yearly pricing is already discounted.

Your commission does not depend on the discount. A yearly subscription attributed to you earns commission in the normal way even though no discount is applied to it.

Each commission becomes available to withdraw 30 days after the payment it came from. The hold exists because refunds and chargebacks arrive late, and money that has already left cannot be recovered.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is reversed — in full, or in proportion for a partial refund. We do this by adding a reversing entry rather than deleting the original, so your history stays readable.

If a reversal arrives after we have already paid you, the amount is deducted from your next payout. Your balance can be negative until it is settled.

We may place a commission on hold while we look into it — for example where it looks like a self-referral. Held amounts stay in your balance and are shown separately; they are not paid out until the review finishes.

You request a withdrawal once at least $20 is available. Payouts run monthly. Amounts below the minimum stay in your balance and carry over.

Before your first payout we ask for a payout email address and your country of tax residence. We do not ask for your bank account. Our payment provider emails you a secure link and collects those details itself, so your account number never passes through our systems. The provider is named in our Privacy Policy.

Payouts are denominated in US dollars. Currency conversion and any fees charged by your bank or the payment provider are outside our control and may reduce what arrives.

If you close your Newey AI account, we keep the records we are legally required to keep and pay out any balance that is already available and above the minimum. Amounts below the minimum are forfeited when you close your account.

Commission is income, and you are responsible for reporting and paying tax on it where you live.

If you are tax resident in the Republic of Korea and are not registered as a business, we are required to withhold tax at source (currently 3.3%) and report the payment. In that case what arrives is the amount after withholding. If you give us a Korean business registration number, we treat the payment as a business-to-business transaction instead and do not withhold.

We do not ask for a resident registration number in the app. Where identification is legally required for a filing, we collect it outside the app at the time of payment.

When you share your link publicly you must disclose that you earn a commission. This is a legal requirement in most places — the FTC in the United States, the ASA in the United Kingdom, and their equivalents elsewhere — and it applies to you, not to us.

For video, disclose both in the video itself and in the description. For text, put the disclosure near the link rather than at the end of the page. If you are unsure what wording to use, ask us and we will send a template for your language.

• Referring yourself — using your own link for your own subscription, or for an account you control.
• Bidding on our brand in paid ads — buying “Newey” or close variants as keywords, or running ads that could be mistaken for ours.
• Spam and bulk posting — unsolicited email or messages, and posting your link across unrelated communities or through multiple accounts.
• Misleading claims — describing the product as something it is not, promising accuracy we do not promise, or implying an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.
• Coupon, cashback, and deal sites — placing your link where it captures people who were already on their way to subscribe.
• Asking existing customers to re-subscribe through your link. It does not earn commission (Section 3) and we treat it as manipulation of attribution.

You can leave at any time by asking us to deactivate your link. Deactivation stops new attributions; subscriptions already attributed to you keep earning through their window, and your balance is paid out under Section 7.

We may pause or end your participation if these terms are broken, if attribution appears to have been manipulated, or if your Newey AI account is closed or suspended. Where we do that because of a breach, commission connected to the breach is forfeited and we will tell you which commission and why. Everything else is unaffected.

We may also end the programme itself with 30 days’ notice. Commission already earned is still paid out.

Taking part does not make you our employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer, and does not give you authority to speak or act on our behalf. You decide how and where you promote, within Section 10, and you are responsible for what you publish.

You may not sign anything, make commitments, or accept payments in our name, and you may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests you are us.

Taking part means we process a little more about you than for an ordinary account: the commission entries attached to your link, and — once you request a payout — a payout email address, your country of tax residence, and a business registration number if you give one.

We keep commission and payout records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (in Korea, five years), which is why they survive closing your account. What we collect, why, and who receives it is described in our Privacy Policy.

People who arrive through your link stay anonymous to you. You see counts and amounts, never names, email addresses, or anything else about who subscribed.

We may change commission rates and these terms with at least 30 days’ notice before the change takes effect.

Commission you have already earned is never reduced. A change applies only to payments we receive after its effective date. If you do not accept a change, leave the programme before it takes effect; your earned balance is still paid out.

Corrections that do not change what you earn — clearer wording, a fixed typo — take effect when we publish them.
